FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY LUNCH & LEARN PROGRAM

The Friends of the Dothan Houston County Library System invite everyone to their Lunch & Learn program with author Karen White. The program will be held at the Dothan Country Club on Wednesday, June 8, at 11:30 AM.

Karen White has written eleven New York Times bestsellers, including After the Rain, Sea Change, On Folly Beach, The Time Between, and last year’s The Sound of Glass. This year’s highly anticipated novel FLIGHT PATTERNS (NAL Hardcover; June 2016; $27) tells the story of a fine china expert who left her family years before and is forced to return home and repair the relationships she’s carefully avoided. To embrace her own life – mistakes and all – she will have to find the courage to confront the ghosts of her past and the secrets she was forced to keep. With the motif of bees and of china, this new novel will also appeal to nature lovers, people interested in historical collectibles and anyone looking for a book to get lost in intricate plots, complex characters, and striking Southern settings.

Enjoy a delicious lunch buffet and author presentation for just $20 (cash or check payable at the door). Karen White’s books will be available for purchase at the event. Please RSVP to friends@dhcls.org or (334) 791-2706.
